MGO / MOC joint picnic's Aug 11, Cadillac-------- Aug 25, Fowlerville

    August 11

12:00 Noon until 4:00 PM Joint Picnic

Our first joint picnic of the year will be held at Mitchell State Park in Cadillac.
The picnic shelter is located on the southwest
edge of the park closest to Lake Mitchell.

    Mitchell State
    Park, 6087 M-115, Cadillac, Michigan 49601

We will have signs and banners pointing

you in the direction of the pavilion.

There is a fee to enter the park. If you have the Recreation Pass as part of your
license plate there is no fee. If you don't there is a daily fee, $9.00 for automobiles
    and $5.00 for motorcycles.

We will be providing traditional BBQ foods and beverages, but we
always recommend bringing a dish to share. This creates a nice mixture of different
foods for everyone to try. This is not a requirement to attend the picnics.

These picnics are a great venue for veteran members and new firearm owners to get
out and meet with like minded people. If you are new to open carry, these events are
great for a first timer to get out and try it without fear of harassment.

Please come on out and meet with the leadership from both organizations and join
the party! The carrying of a firearm is recommended but not required.

    August 25

12:00 Noon until 4:00 PM Joint Picnic

Once again we team up to bring you our second joint picnic this year.

It will be held at Community Park in Fowlerville. We will have signs and banners pointing
you in the direction of the large pavilion.

Fowlerville Community Park, 425 N Grand St., Fowlerville, Michigan 48836

Same event as the first one just in a different area of the state, moving it around makes it easier for more people to attend.

We will be providing traditional BBQ foods and beverages, but we always recommend bringing a dish to share. This creates a nice mixture of different
foods for everyone to try. This is not a requirement to attend the picnics.

All are welcome to attend, bring your friends!

Like many people, I am constantly chasing the almighty paycheck. Doubletime on sunday is hard to pass for a 6 hours round trip driving, but hopefully my ever flexing surprise here's a sunday work schedule is going to stay compatible with the 25th as that is a 50minute drive.

Like Carl I will likely wear my MGO shirt under something, it just wont be an open button up safari guide shirt but it will weigh 36 pounds.

I will say i have been wanting the joint picnics more spread out, as well as having some more northern. We had 24 people last Saturday. The joint picnic last year in Metro Detroit (Macomb County/Edge of Oakland County’s) had 30 IIRC. So there is the virtually the same attendance no matter where the are. Metro Detroit is no longer a must.
