As you know, both Em and MamaBear enjoyed shooting my two single-stack SIGs (what's not to like about classic P-series SIGs?). However, when I introduced Em to my 1911, here is where the problem (your problem, actually) begins. I think you were somewhat distracted when Em took my 1911 to the line, with MamaBear right there beside and guiding her. The look on both their faces when Em nailed the target was priceless - grins from ear to ear. Then, of course MamaBear took the 1911 to the line, with the same results. It wasn't long before Em came over to my table, asking if she could shoot my 1911, again. And one mag at a time was not enough. She took two or three.
So, for you, my friend, I think there may be a trip to the LGS involved, as you go shopping for a couple of 1911's (in .45 ACP, of course). I seem to recall them saying your birthday is coming up soon, and 1911's, along with a VP9 holster, would be excellent choices.
Again, my sincerest apologies for introducing your fine young ladies to the wonders of the 1911.
