Do I necessarily like to be told when and where I can carry? No. But I do accept the fact that there are venues that do not allow firearms. As castrotikon pointed out in his post, I will still attend Lansing Symphony concerts at Wharton Center.
So change it to "What? Guns are scary!"

We are all adults here and are capable of making decisions with eyes wide open, willing to accept risk and consequences. Strictly speaking, you would be trespassing and could be prosecuted. I'll leave it at that.

It isn't legal. They are preempted and you can ignore this in regards to firearms.
