    Hi,

    I posted in another thread that the Michigan State Police destroy firearms. I had two guns stolen in 1990, and I was repeatedly told that I have to contact the police, not the other way around. I never recovered mine. Keep your eye on the list, and hopefully you will have better luck..

    You should always insure your weapons for "stated value" on your policy.

    Stated Value is coverage that reflects an amount that is “stated” at the onset of the policy. ... With Agreed Value coverage, the insurance company will guarantee that they will pay this agreed-upon value in the event of a covered total loss. Stated value has nothing to do with market value.
