    German P-38, with capture papers.

I need some help with a possible purchase on a p-38.
It has all matching #s, with AC 43 stacked and the 359 stamped, on the right of the slide with the eagle over swaztika, with bakelite grips, and the capture paper with correct soft holster and 2 magazines, with p-38v stamped on them.
Over all the gun is in great shape.

Any help would be great, Thanks.

Your 'ac 43' rig sounds original and correct. The holster should be coded and dated either 1943 or 1944. Unless it has other markings, such as police or post war use stamps, it is fairly common by P.38 standards.

Asking prices for 'ac 43' rigs run $ 650 - $ 1,100, depending upon gun and holster conditions. Capture papers typically add $ 100 to the asking price; more if there is a story to go with the papers. Sales at the higher end of this range for common P.38 rigs have been scarce lately.
