    Sks value?

I’ve never owned one. But I have one to sell now. Looking for what a good asking price is. I have not figured out how to post pictures here, so I’ll desribe best I can.

It looks like new to me. All the numbers I find on it match.
10942 on the trigger guard, burned in the stock, magazine thing, receiver and the bolt.
I can txt pictures to anyone willing to help.

The box looks like it was covered in wax of some sort.

    Says
“Sks m8 Made in China in norinco shan yj ?? Factory”

I can’t make out what the ?? Is.

    Other side says

    “Clayco sports Ltd center”

Any idea what I should ask?

Reading on armslist. That looks like a fair price for a non numbers matching. The numbers matching guns are like 550-600 area

Okay, post it for $550-$600 and let it sit there just like on arms list. If you want the truth on what a fair price would be on a common Chinese SKS you have your answer.

600 for a Chinese sounds ambitious with original box, accessories, oiler, bayonet everything. That is more Russian ak prices.

If it's really nice you probably could get 400 of low 400 something.

A lot of people can't get past them being $65-75 guns back in the day. If they offered you $150 they would feel like they are doing you a favor.

You should look at GunBroker sold auctions, Armslist is a bad representation with ask price. Guys ask 600 then do not sell, or sell for $395.

People ask $800 for messed up Glocks all day, I never even look at arms list anymore.

buy it now on gunbroker is a better number, but still a reach for the real world. They are set optimistic fair but high most of the time.
