How many of our own kind publicly stated, and did so here as well as other social media outlets, if Patrick doesn't win, I'm not voting, or I'm voting L?
How many times have we heard family and acquaintances state they are voting D, because D's protect the worker? And this is from gun owners too.
How many people donated to campaigns? We can't raise enough money for MGO (and MOC) to pay for the legal fees our organizations take on, much less want to take on.
Sorry, but due to our own apathy, we are getting the govt we deserve.
Just face it, we are the minority now and they play by the rules of any means necessary. We either adapt or die.
I think party leadership shares a pretty big helping of blame. That campaign was anemic, at best. They spent eight years telling us that our votes don't matter by promoting the agendas of those that never voted for them. Instead of winning the votes of our enemies, they lost the support of their friends.
The establishment wanted to prove that they don't need those pesky, grassroots people to win as long as they get enough money to win. They got their money and didn't bother with door knockers, phone callers, signs and post cards (the things that the base of the party does). Just mailers and TV ads in areas that they didn't win. It didn't work for them and that's not our fault.
The Michigan Republic party became tone deaf to its constituents and deserved to lose. The only thing to do now is reorganize and start planning, immediately, how we win in two years.
Maybe? Or maybe he is just making something up?
I can't find any information that suggest legal marijuana causes a bunch of homeless people to migrate to another state. I am not an expert on homelessness or marijuana, but I do know that homeless people are low on cash and marijuana is usually not free. I am wondering what the connection is, other than his suggestion that the only people that use marijuana are smelly, poor hippies. The only articles I was able to find was a few that showed some migration of people that had money.

Hopefully they will be too worried about fixing the damn roads to be concerned about guns for a while.
