Funny- just listened to a Primary and Secondary podcast today where they had the guys from Walther on and Steve Fisher. They went over how Walther tested their pistols by dropping them at 27 different angles to avoid accidental discharge. And how the German testing facility that takes their firearms through testing was the best in the world. Well, guess they let some slip up now and again.

Hmmm, maybe Walther should have tried 28 different angles.

It's difficult to imagine and test for every possible scenario for a potential failure. I hope this doesn't raise the same fuss that SIG had to endure.

If anything it might give Sig a little breathing room in the way that even with heavy testing, stuff happens.
The P&S podcast did call out Sig a couple of times and how they screwed up in their testing by allowing that pistol through. Hopefully, it acts as an Icarus testing for Walther and they keep their mouths shut in the future. Well, all manufacturers actually. Stay in your own lane and don't call out how someone's backyard needs mowing when your front yard grass is pretty long as it is.
