The last time they tried to reduce the fees for a renewal (because the finger prints didn't need to be done again) and we should not have to buy something not provided, they upped the fees $10 across the board.

The $15.00 increase was sold as a reduction in cost. Finger prints only have to be done once. Photo comes from license(Sec of State). Gunboards were eliminated, thus clerks, sheriff and prosecutor no longer participating in process

So tell me again why we are paying more for less and it's cheaper according to the state. State Police are sitting on something like $5,000,000 surplus from the CPL processing fees.

Oh they spent that surplus guaranteed, no way they’re sitting on it.

I know that Wayne County purchased a bunch of automated machines. But that actually washes out because it takes less manpower to do the task. At any rate, it shouldn't cost any more then a DL. Actually it could be a DL & CPL on one card. Have them both expire on your B'Day every 5 years.

That could cause problems for those applying for jobs with anti-gun companies, or HR people.

I think the number is far far far above that.

Make CPL on Birthday every five year

That would be so much easier so I guess that won't work if less paperwork CPL and DL was one and the same expired 5 years .

Anyone looking at your DL would know you have a CPL.
