    looks nice, I do not think I have ever seen a enfield that was not beat to hell, sooty, dirty, dented, dinged and abused.

    I wish they would make some mausers as well. I have not seen a new manufacture serb mauser in a few years either.

    Right but I see nice mausers and nice springfields. The enfields all seem like they were in a meat smoker, all covered with soot.

    I would like a 308 enfield.

    Well not all of them are as such. There was that batch of No. 4 rifles a while back that were still new in the cosmoline. Once in a while you'll find a really nice Enfield, but unissued? Yeah, those are few and far between.
