Colt put larger trigger guards on the re-released small frame revolvers.
Buyers don’t want the old tiny trigger guard. Its a nice upgrade over the original.

I'd buy one if they actually made it. But I think this is fake news for now.

For sure, the larger trigger guards are old news. I was actually referring to the beveled portion, where the top strap meets the barrel. Not typical for the Colt frames.

I remember an article from a gun mag I used to subscribe to..
had a comparison test between the (then new) Colt King Cobra & S&W 686..
both had the same barrel length (believe it was a 6" barrel)
I recall all the shooters preferred the S&W 686 over the King Cobra,
as it was more accurate in their comparison test.

I'd recently purchased a 686 w/6" barrel, not too long before the test came out.
Other than a cool name, the King Cobra didn't have anything superior to the S&W...

& I know, this doesn't mean anything to Colt fans..

It's also on Colt's web site now.

    Beefing up the top strap?

I wouldn't buy one but i hope whoever does has good luck with Colt's CS.

Also, interestingly, the link in the original post is dead - the page is gone.
