    For working on a gun in a vise, I much prefer a screwdriver style like the vortex or wheeler for everything unless it requires more torque than I can apply without some leverage. A breaker bar style is just to clumsy for most tasks that only need modest torque. I know everyone is different, but I mount bases scopes and rings nearly every day at work, and find the screwdriver shape to be the handiest. I also add an adapter to use it with sockets. Hardly a one trick pony.
