    Is the Lapeer pit dangerous??

I was recently asked if I would like to shoot some targets at the Lapeer pit.
I’ve never been there before so I asked Mr Google and was utterly shocked to
see how many basic gun safety rules were broken within 1 minute of watching a
Posted video!!! Is there a ranger or officer on duty at any time during shooting
    Hours?

It’s not a range as you are thinking so no RSO...it’s a place to shoot that just fairly recently became semi regulated
It’s big boy rules, your safety is your responsibility

Cui Bono? What would someone stand to gain from smearing the reputation of The Pit?

I've seen it packed and full of idiots, i've also been the only one there. Most recently I saw a vet with a solid high end M4gery/acog and his ~8yr old son blasting clays on the berm with an M&P15 22 that made me a little jealous of his skill.
"big boy rules" is a fair description.
