    Me like!

    New = $55.00

    Renew = $40 (Fingerprint difference)

    The rest is just house keeping (switchblades are still listed as a dis-qualifier and the law is gone and "other")

    It is in the first stage of the legislative process…

    In this case, it is a House introduced bill.
    Once it passes the House, then it goes to the Senate.
    Once it passes the Senate, then it goes back to the House.
    From there, it goes to the Governor.

    On both sides (House/Senate), it will typically go through one or more committees.
    Many times, a bill without push will simply die waiting for a committee hearing and never make it back into the process.

    In short, this has a LONG way to go before it becomes law…if ever.

    The MSP will just let it die cause they make MILLIONS that they dont even want disclosed and wont disclose--see MGO for details..

    Copied from michaelm ski (#27)
    Did anyone ever find out HOW MUCH the MSP get from CPL licenses and what they DO WITH THE MONEY ?????

    I guess you are NOT a MOC member. They are fighting w/ MSP as to where the 15 MILLION or so goes. The law enforcers dont want to and wont follow the law!!

    In this state we have 'one man rule'--if committe chair opposes there is never a hearing.

    Some other states bills are introd, one week, and hearings the next and a vote within month or so. Everything gets an up/down by some committee.

    Republicans had control of all 3 branches of govt a few yrs ago. Gun laws went no where cause some yahoos 'didnt want to embarass' the R gov who opposed most gun laws.
    One man rule again.

    Cheer up - by that time, it will be $100 more than the current rate to help fund roads and schools.
