Cleaned my Silencerco Octane 45k today. Oh boy did that suck!! Nothing like Good old elbow grease to shine them baffles right up. How are you cleaning your silencers ?

But if you DO insist upon cleaning one, when it's new, or after cleaning, do the silicone treatment.

Never clean centerfire silencers.
It makes them louder, and there is no reason to clean them.

I offer an MGO discount on Silencer refurbs. If it's a sealed rifle can I blast it and Cerakote with C-Series High Temp. I'll also do the insert if it has a brake or FH. -$50
For pistol and rifle cans with baffles I blast all the baffles down to bare metal and Cerakote with Micro-Slick and use C-Series on the tube. The Cerakote Micro-Slick makes cleaning the baffles much easier. - $70

Basically they look like new again.

I am waiting on a Salvo 12 to get out of NFA jail (purgatory now that the government is shut down...). Does the same rule apply to a shotgun can?

I also have a Dead Air Mask HD waiting for a stamp to arrive and knew I'd spend a lot of time cleaning that one.
