    My dad just bought this 8MM. from what i have read so far about and wha ti was able to find out about the gun which was not much us that. it could be a german mauser that could have been made and used in WWII. i know that the germans made them during that time and as well as the ceskoslovernsnka did. hopefully on hear you guys can help me find more out abut the rifle. if you more images are need just as and i can post more of them. i mainly need helping knowing what it is in depth, the value and what do the symbols mean on it. the link should work. if not please PM me ad i will email you the images.

    Probably a vz. 24 rifle. There were 1000's of them imported over the years, and both 7mm and 8mm were in use. And they have been used all over the world. And they are based on the Mauser pattern.

    There is fairly good wiki page on them. That might help until you can post pictures.

    mauser central folks can identify it. About ten years ago they imported a bunch of 8mm brno mausers they were 225-300 bucks.

    They are regarded as good shooters.
