Mine fell out of my shoulder holster while fighting a good salmon on Lake Huron... Big salmon that dragged the boat for ages before I got it aboard... Forgot to mark the point where it fell out...

Usually a HK VP9SK. Also once in a while I will carry a Glock 30. Both IWB with a Tulster holster.

do you ever feel the p238 safety throws you off.

I want one, but no other hand guns that I own have a manual safety.

I'm a 1911 fan, and very comfortable with a thumb safety.
That said, I became comfortable with a thumb safety because of lots of practice.

The P238 has a thumb safety, as does the STX, and the 226 Legion. The draw stroke and firing grip both place my thumb on the safety and dropping the safety is unconscious.

I have no trouble switching between various firearms types, but I do prefer 1911 type controls.
