    Pin Shoot 2019

Sorry this thread is kind of long but it explains the shoot in more detail. Our shoot is in Central Lake, Mi. just north of Bellaire and east of Traverse City.
    Pin Shoot 2019
We are into our third year of our comeback. A total of 24 pin shoots were held from 1975 – 1998. The rebirth of the Pin Shoot in 2017 marked the 25th such event after the 18 year hiatus. More important than the competition and the prizes are the many lifelong friendships that will be formed. The shoot is still on the Davis property, but with all new ranges, tables, and a new pavilion. We feed shooters a light breakfast and lunch for the whole week of the shoot. June 7th through the 14th.
We have the 4 main events. You shoot 6 tables of 5 bowling pin sets for each event. We keep your best 5 tables for your score. Pricing is $150/ main event. Optional Event pricing will also remain the same for 2019: “Single Table” Options – Big Push / 223×39 / 12×8 / .22 : $20 per run “Shot in Sets of Three” Table Options – Shotgun / Revolver / 9×12 / PCC: $50 per set * PRICING IS PER PERSON . Half-price day for optional event shooting will be Sunday (June 9th) ONLY once all of your 5-pin events are complete.
STOCK GUN: Any Semi-Automatic, unmodified handgun with no more than a 5-inch barrel; or a factory Revolver having no more than an 8 3/8-inch barrel length, weight no more than 56-ounces. (Same as a 1911 style .45.) Mag-Na-Port type ports are allowed, but no heavy grips, wrist weights or pseudo type stocks, or arm braces, etc. 8 rounds per gun to start, reloaded capacity is unlimited.
PIN GUN: Same as STOCK GUN except with no barrel length and weight no more than 64-ounces. 8 rounds per gun to start, reloaded capacity is unlimited.
SPACE GUN: Same as PIN GUN and we also allow scopes and even lasers. 8 rounds per gun to start, reloaded capacity is unlimited.
CONCEALED CARRY: 3.5-inch maximum barrel, stock gun, 6 round max capacity, no modifications other than porting. Reasonably normal sized replacement grips are allowed.
2-Person Team Event: Two people vs. 13 bowling pins plus two innocent bystanders. Shot in sets of three runs, best single time wins. 8 rounds per gun to start, reloaded capacity is unlimited. 1-second off for each female shooter
3-Person Team Event: Two people with shotguns (cylinder bore only, no diverters allowed) and one with a STOCK handgun are facing 24 bowling pins on one table – no “innocent bystanders”. Shot in sets of three runs, best single time wins. 8 rounds per gun to start, reloaded capacity is unlimited. 1-second off for each female shooter; 1-second off for each pump shotgun used. Theoretically a 3-woman team using 2 pump shotguns would receive 5-seconds off.
One person Shot Gun Event: 8 pins stare you down. You have 8 rounds in a semi-auto or pump action shot gun. 00 Buck, 000 Buck, or Slugs acceptable. Iron sights only. No “innocent bystanders”. 1 second off if using a pump / 1 second off for a female.
Revolver Event: Starting with only 6 rounds in your revolver, you are facing 8 pins. Practice your reloading! 8 3/8” barrel limit. 2/10 second off for those using a 4” barrel stock gun, 4/10 second off if using a concealed carry gun.
The Big Push: You are facing only 3 bowling pins at a distance of 22 feet that must be knocked back a whopping 14.5 feet! The shooter must start standing with gun on the rail. One handgun only, so bring your hand cannons, thunder sticks, and mega-magnums! The winning caliber will most likely start with a .4 or .5 and end with magnum! No rifle calibers or SBRs, ask before bringing a wildcat cartridge.
*9 X 12 (Fast and Fun): Using a 9mm or higher caliber handgun you are facing 12 pins and three blue “innocent bystander” pins – one right in the middle in each of the three levels. All you have to do is knock the non “hostage” pins over. Magazine capacity is unlimited. Stock guns only, no multiple projectile ammo allowed (shot).
“.223×39” Event: Two people with semi-auto rifles facing 39 six inch diameter steel “lollypops” 60 to 100 yards away. Optics are allowed and recommended. Start with empty rifle on table and magazine out. Maximum capacity is 30 rounds. One shooter offhand (with or without sling) the other from a bench or prone with sandbags or bipod
“12×8” event: Starting with an iron sighted shotgun with up to 8 slugs you have to knock over 8 heavy steel targets at ranges of 50 to 100 yards. Targets are between 1 and 2 square feet. Reload as much as you need. Entry fee is $20 per person per run. Scopes are allowed. One second off if using iron sights. One additional second off if using pump shotgun. One additional second off for females.
Four Play: This is a 3 gun with an added sub-machine gun stage. AR shooting at targets, then shotgun, then sub gun then pistol. The course gets changed every year to keep it fresh.
.22 event: We are still working on the course of fire but it will involve shooting small targets out to about 100yards.
Spray and Prey: One full auto burst from a Thompson at a scored target.
Kids 22 event: Using our .22’s kids shoot at targets.
PCC event: Using the 9x12 table shooters will use a Pistol Caliber Carbine to knock pins off the table.
We may also have a PCC event on the .223x39 range if there is time for it.

This looks like a lot of fun. I'm putting it on my calendar, maybe I can dump my wife and kids in Traverse City for a few days.
