    MAG SPRING

    Have some older 10 round 1911 Chip McCormick mags. The spring in one needs to be replaced but I am having a hard time finding any. Anybody know of a good source for these? I checked Brownell's & looks like they are OOS.

    Thanks John, Ordered a 3 pak from Wolff. All 3 are about the same age. Ordered 2 more mags too. Will be able to load a whole box of range ammo now. Love those 10 rounders.

    I have no right to demand any customer service. No defects. The springs are worn out. Simple as that. Have had those mags for a long, long time. Lots of rounds through them. I wish other stuff lasted as long.

    You Can BUY the Springs and other replacement parts from "Chip McCormick" to repair your worn out items.

    If you attend shooting matches, there may be a vendor that has the supplies on hand.

    Customer Service assists the customer in locating the best parts they require to repair their items.

    ===========================

    For those that shoot USPSA/IPSC you can convert Mec-Gar 11 Mags to 12 round mags, by using McCormick parts.
    That gives you an extra two rounds for those complicated stages when using a single stack Firearm.
    You will still meet the USPSA Rules of 170mm.

    Maximum magazine length 5.561” (141.25mm) or 6.742” (171.25mm) in single stack guns.

    If you attend the larger Matches, the vendors are their to help the competitors.
    It's a great learning experience for anyone that has a chance to attend.

    thats crazy I have been hearing about CMC springs since I was on gun forums way back when, they stopped making springs to service existing mags ?

    Bag move from image point.

    Don't think they stopped making them. It's just that in my search, Brownell's was OOS. Wolff's were actually a bit cheaper than the CMC OEM parts.

    At any rate, I changed them & they ran without issue the other night.
