    Optics & light advice - Canik TP9SF

I recently picked up a Canik TP9SF in Desert Sand that I just had to have. The trigger and reset are pretty darn nice, and I got it for a good price.

Anyway, I want to accessorize with optics and slide serrations (possibly) which means I'll need the slide milled and decent quality optics and light.

    Some info:
    1) I've never done anything of this sort to a gun I've owned. Everything I have is in 'as-is' condition from the day I bought it.

    2) I'd like this to be a range gun for 25+ yard shooting. I need the optics because I wear progressive lenses and my vision isn't what it used to be.

    3) I'm color blind. Red and Green are my worst colors as they just sort of blend in with everything else. A blaze orange dot would be ideal. A black triangle would be even better.

    4) I also plan on keeping it on the night stand so I'll also need a light (thinking OLight mini Valkarie ii)

Any and all suggestions for a build like this would be greatly appreciated.

At the time I bought it, I hadn't even considered adding optics. It was just replacing my old SW40VE as a nightstand gun. Now, I'd like to add those things.

That's not out of the question, but for what I paid, I can have this one milled and have money to put towards a Holosun for darn near the same price as a new SFx.

there are NEW SFx WITH Vortex Viper red dots for as low as $593 shipped out there. That would be the smartest buy.

keep both if you really like em.

DW is right hard to beat the price of the factory model.

Keep the other around, you cannot have to many nice 9mm around unless you are into the teens.

If you just have 1-5. One more won't hurt.

Possible trade bait in the future.
