If you've been wishing Michigan had PRS/NRL style matches, you're in luck! MPRSC runs PRS Regional Series matches, once a month from April through October at Marksmanship Training Center in Lake City.

Typical match is 8-10 stages, 80-100 rounds, ranges out to 1050 yards. Sign-in starts at 0730, zero range from 0800-0830, match brief at 0840, range hot at 0900. You should be on your way home between 1500 and 1600.

You don't really need anything special; a rifle and optic capable of safely engaging targets to 1050 yards (that means optic that has target turrets and a graduated reticle), and the knowledge/skill to keep rounds within the impact area (in other words, you aren't expected to hit all your targets). That is really about it. You can of course bring anything else you'd like, and a bipod would be highly encouraged for our prone stages (we try to build matches to be ⅓ each: prone, modified prone, positional).

Our first match of the season is April 27th, and we still have 14 slots available. $40 for MTC members, $50 for non-members.

To find out more, search us out on Facebook; we have a business page and group. Or look us up on the web; can't post links yet, so google PRSChallenge; we'll be either the first or second result to display.
