    Henry side gate levers

    These look pretty cool: https://www.henryusa.com/rifles/side-gate-lever-action/

I also find it interesting that they have a .35 Rem rifle now.

Now everyone complaining about the lack of side loading can go out and get a Henry!

The new Marlin dark series is a step ahead in features...
But Henry is the way to go. Maybe wait a year until they add factory threaded barrels.

A lever action with a threaded barrel or M4 stock is just WRONG!

Lack of a side gate was the big put-off for me with Henry big boys. I’m pretty excited about this.

This was almost what we had left if the sandy hook ban happened. I remember a couple companies gearing up to sell these things when everyone was in full panic mode.

That's what Scout rifles are for.

I watched a video about the new side loading Henrys. I am going to get one for sure. The one I watched was the 38-55 I did some looking around and I can shoot cast bullets out of it so someday I will own one. I figure I need to wait a few months for he price to come down a little. I would love a 44 Mag and a 45 Colt with the side loading gate. I have 2 Henrys now, 357 Golden Boy and a 45 Colt Golden Boy. I never get to shoot the 45 Colt anymore my Grand Daughter has claimed it as hers...... She is 14 and has been shooting it since she was 8 (I used to have to hold the end of the barrel for her because of the weight). I would like a 45 Colt so we could both shoot at the same time.......

I am surprised they picked those calibers first, to be honest. Besides the loading gate, it seems you can still use the loading tube.
I've not been bothered by the loading tube on my Henry 45-70. It's easier to unload it that way than running each round through the chamber.
Loading in the tube can be easier than pushing long rounds through the gate.
The gate would be nice for people doing cowboy action shooting, and need to add a round on the clock, but Henry's are not too popular among the SASS shooters.
