    Weapons; other; prohibition against concealed carry of a knife; repeal. Amends secs. 227 & 231a of 1931 PA 328 (MCL 750.227 & 750.231a).

    This bill proposes to omit this entire section:

    A person shall not carry a dagger, dirk stiletto, a double-edged nonfolding stabbing instrument of any length, or any other dangerous weapon, except a hunting knife adapted and carried as such, concealed on or about his or her person, or whether concealed or otherwise in any vehicle operated or occupied by the person, except in his or her dwelling house, place of business or on other land possessed by the person.

    Very good Bill, no down side.

    Where it goes from here is anybody's guess. The chair of the Judiciary Committee votes in our favor regularly, yet there are plenty of other bills that they aren't even looking at.

    MI knife law is a mess... the other thing we need to see is knife law preemption as well.
