The "meat" of these tie-barred bills can be found in HB 4771. It proposes to remove all of the section o "no concealed carry" zones except for schools and casinos.

    Removed areas include:
    - Child/Day Care Facilities
    - Sports Arena or Stadium
    - Bars or Taverns
    - Churches and the like
    - Entertainment Facilities (i.e., 2,500 or more seats)
    - Hospitals
    - Dorms

Correct, and to your point…there is nothing stopping private property owners from prohibiting firearms on their premises.
At least this would remove the statutory prohibition associated with CPL's and leave it up to the private property owners.

Nothing is perfect, but these bills are BIG steps in the "right direction".

If I had taken a break when I wanted to, I would have said this before you.

You can file this under the "Political Legislation" category. By that I mean it was proposed by the Republican side of the government knowing the Democratic side would never support it and thus the Republicans can use it in next year's elections to stir up gun owners. That isn't necessarily a bad thing but none of these bills have a chance in hell of passing, so don't get your hopes up, no matter how much sense they may make to us.

I agree fully, Tom…but if "we" don't try, we'll never succeed!

Dangle the right trinket in front of her & wretched Gretchen may just surprise us. If she wants anything on her wish list to pass, she'll have to play ball sooner or later. I think she knows the only reason she got elected in the first place was because Rick & his minions made such a mess of things.
