A bit short of cash right now. Hope to find an equitable trade.

Interesting offer from a member with a CZ clone, SAR K2. I have no problem with clones.

You can find hardly used Sig P220 and P227 well within your price range.
I've shot both as rentals when looking to purchase a 45. They shoot the same for me, P220 is single stack, P227 is double stack (mag capacity of 10 I think).
Sig still makes the P220 but has discontinued the P227, if that matters.

I actually ended up getting the full size P320 in 45 as I already had in 9mm and liked it.

I took an FNX45 in for a hell of a deal (about $400), and I was weary of it at first. It’s very....plastic. Soft plastic too. BUT, I’ve come to love the thing. It’s become a must-take on every range trip, and is with me as a daily carry more often than not. Even though it’s holds a massive 15+1, it’s not exceptionally large in the hand. The DA is long smooth and linear, and the SA has a short reset with a decent break (nothing like a good Sig SRT though). Smooth shooting, minimal felt recoil, and purdy darn accurate too. Blowing through 250 rounds in a range session happens as easy as shooting a .22.

Perceived quality of the FNX45 is nothing like a P227 though. Especially one of the nicer trim levels. But the soft thin plastic frame is what makes it as light as it is with the capacity it can hold.

Soft recoil and good, low bore axis. Plus built like a tank and can handle a 45 Super if so inclined.
+1 on this.. I have an HK45 since 2011.. It used to be my gun of choice for bowling pins matches and it did won me a lot of matches.

I bought a lightly used WG Sig 220 from a fellow MGO member for less than $500, fantastic pistol, I highly recommend searching for one of them if you want a .45ACP that is not a 1911.
