If you could only have one lever gun

What cartridge would you take? Use case is irrelevant for this question, you only get one regardless of what you decide to use it for:
    -45-70?
    -The classic 30-30?
    -22lr?

Or something in a pistol caliber? (Or something all entirely different?)

44mag -- it will do almost anything a 30-30 will do up to 100 yds, it will also hit hard enough for bigger targets. If you limit use to rifle calibers - then 30-30 no question.

The interesting thing is you need to consider the new Long Range levers from Henry 6.5cm, .243, .308 and the other levers -.308, .300 savage, etc that are available from Savage and Browning. That slightly complicates things but I am still with my choices.

Pistol caliber. One size two firearms.
    Flexibility at 1/2 the space.

My choice would be a Winchester .357 Magnum Model 1873 Trapper with 16" barrel or a model 1892 Trapper Takedown with 16" barrel, to go along with a S&W Performance Center® Pro Series® Model 627 revolver with 8-round capacity.

If I could only choose one, would have to be a Model 90 in .460 S&W

I’d like a Marlin 1894CST in .357 with the furniture from the 1894 CSBL.
