an ambi 16rd 22lr for only $200? That's gonna be a hot one.
but the threads don't look anywhere near long enough to put a suppressor on without needing a separate adapter.
Maybe I can submit for another 22lr silencer, then put in an order for the gun, and see which one shows up first

Thread protector is reversible to become adapter. At least that is what arfcom guys were speculating.

Is the flat top with the two allen screws meant to accept an optic mounting plate?

I'll reserve judgement until they start showing up in the wild, but you can get the Taurus TX22 right now and it's a 16+1, .22 caliber handgun with a threaded barrel for about the same price (with the current rebate) and it's gotten rave reviews. Also, (in my opinion) it hasn't been hit quite as hard with the ugly stick as this Kel Tec has been.

I will probably still impulse-buy the P17 when I see one at a LGS, but that's more about my innate need to collect them all than it is about the merits of this firearm.

I had the 22WMR PMR 30 and was unimpressed with it's accuracy. Maybe I had a bad one but I thought is sucked. Not real excited about Kel Tec 22. I love my Ruger Mark III. I can drive nails with that.

So much truth, and when you find it will be $400 over MSRP.

I have a late model PMR and couldn’t be more happy with it. Ragged holes at defensive distances, 2” or so at 15 yards, and bangs steel reliably at 50 yards. It’s no Ruger MKIV, but it’s pretty good for what it is. Not one hiccup with it yet. The thing is a blast to shoot. I just wish .22wmr was a bit cheaper.

I exclusively use CCI 40gr Gamepoint.

I guess they changed barrel suppliers/ heat treaters after the finicky first production run.
