    Update-SOTA lower

What is your personal experience with a Sota AR-15 lower? I'm willing to purchase one and if hand fitting is a must so be it.

Interested as well. Made a 450BM barrel for my uncle and was thinking of suggesting he get one of their lowers since the upper and BCG are from Sota.

Been using them for years. The first gen was problematic for some mags, with magpul gen 3 being the most notable. No issues with the current generation lowers. I love the sculpted trigger guard built in and billet is a plus. I always keep at least 3 or 4 in the safe and pay between $38 -$40 per.

That's a good looking train hopper North. Is the rear QD on the brace part of the brace, or aftermarket? If the latter.... link?

Thanks...… The QD is included with the brace. You have a choice between the QD or a sling bar. Either will mount on the left or right sides.

Yeah, you aint kidding! It was the only time I'll be adding that brace to an AR. They do come with a proprietary shortened bolt carrier tho, so that involves some of the cost. I do have the SHF braces on other guns (Stribog) and they run about $300 ish.
