    They are both run by the same contractor/vendor company, with the same rules, and all of the nonsense that goes with it.

    I looked it up and it is as I remember. They are both run by the same organization; that means that Island Lake has the same NFL rules as Bald Mt. I see that Roundballer beat me to it.

    Also the Pit is free to use. Now BM and IL cost $15. I'll never go there again. There are better choices in DNR ranges.

    I've always wondered how much of a private vs. state funded facility they are? It's a DNR facility that is leased... they've got big money wrapped into those sporting courses. Is that state property that they manage or privately purchased?

    it wasnt shooters that killed the pit it was "investors" The pit is going the DNR range route. It was good while it lasted

    Is it still legal to target shoot on state hunting land in Michigan provided you have an adequate backstop and cleanup?
