This bill would make open carry illegal in Michigan for anyone other than:
- A member of the organized militia who has registered with the department of state police or the county sheriff of the county in which that individual resides
- An individual engaged in target practice at a recognized target range
- An individual who is hunting
- A peace officer carrying a firearm during the performance of his or her duties
- An individual who is on property owned by that individual
- A member of the United States Armed Forces while carrying the firearm in the line of duty
Just say NO!

Ignorant Detroit Democrat.
Since you don't differentiate between types of "firearms" and introduce a bill that covers all, you are going to have a stiff resistance. After all, what part of "keep and BEAR" do you not understand?
An obvious violation to the 2nd amendment AND Article 1 section VI of the Michigan constitution.
