This bill would add a new 10% excise tax on ammunition.
Depending on where the ammunition is manufactured and sold, the tax would be collected from the manufacturer, wholesaler or purchaser.
If you can't beat it, tax it!

This is a "bullet" tax. Only the projectile is being taxed - ""Unit of ammunition" means a projectile or projectile core that may be used in a firearm".
Again, ignorant Detroit Democrat. This is a poorly written bill and obviously nothing more than a punishment tax.
