Anyone have recommendations for deer processors around southern Lapeer or northern Oakland County? Not looking for anything fancy, just a reasonable reliable clean processor to package up steaks and grind burger.

There's a place in Metamora near Greg's house. I'll look for the info.

I would recommend DJ's Meats on Duck Lake Road in Highland off of M59. Their address is 3444 North Duck Lake Road Highland, Michigan 48356. And their Phone number is 248-889-0300. Here's a link to their website djmeats.com Super friendly and great service, however they are a little on the pricey side. One thing that I really like about them is that when you have sausage or snack sticks made from your deer, it is only made from your deer. Good luck to you this deer season.
I normally take all my deer to Russell's Deer Processing on Newark rd. (810)724-2870. I've been going there for about 15yrs. They stop processing after gun season, so when I took a deer during the late archery season, I took it to a market on M-21, I think it's called the Country Market, they did a very nice job as well.

The Smokehouse fire was a total bummer, feel bad for the family and those who work there especially with all the expansion work going on and holiday's around the corner. I've been taking deer there for 20+ years which is why I asked for recommendations in the first place. Not a total loss, they'll recover sooner than later hopefully.
Anyway, turns out the DNR publishes publicly registered deer processors so for those following along there are several options there...
