Helping a new user buying "practice" ammo

I was in Dunhams the other day, and an older lady was staring at the pistol ammo. I mentioned I knew a little bit, and would answer questions if I could. She wanted cheap practice ammo to use for her 9MM, because her carry HP ammo was expensive. I sent her a Dunhams coupon for some cheap $8.99 a box ammo, and told her to subscribe for coupons. I also told her she needed to practice with her normal HP carry ammo once in a while, just to make sure it didn't jam in any of her magazines, and was accurate. I also mentioned on how using the same weight ammo, like 124 or 115 grain for practice and carry is best. I saw a light come on. In retrospect, I wish I would have pointed her to this forum. I help noobs as I can, but try not to be a Hitler know it all.

I ran some of my social ammo, but tend to practice with whatever is cheapest including steel case in my 9mm glocks. Ad I get deals I just dump it in an ammo can.

For .45 since they are 1911's I use brass and dump in the cheapest into an ammo can as well

The cheap stuff might have a steel case. Rural King has some cheap 8 bucks/50 steel.
Can't reload it if you do that. At least I won't.
Never, under any circumstances, consume a sleeping pill and laxative on the same night.
