Looking for a gunsmith - Waterford --- or near by

I have a Colt Government 380 in nickel which I purchased new in 1984. I love the gun and want to keep it as long as I can. It's a great carry gun and is going up in value every year. (the trigger is better than some very expensive 1911s I've shot)

I recently cleaned it and replaced the recoil spring (something I've done MANY MANY times).

Well I was watching TV at the time and I obviously screwed up something when I "re-mounted" the slide. Now it's not operational. (The extractor is tricky.. but it's something else)

I need a trusted "smith" in my area to look it over. I put the "prior" spring back in place and it didn't make a difference.

    Help !!!!!!!!

    Thanks for the info.

Saw Doug today and he's moving on toward fixing my pistol.

A great old time gun smith who has decades of experience at his finger tips

I picked up my gun today. Pretty quick turn around --- less than a week.. He figured out in about 2 minutes what was wrong with the gun. (after I had spent hours playing with it) He fixed it for a very reasonable price.

I will clearly use his services again and would give him a very high recommendation.

that is why I refer other shooters to him when they have an issue or problem..
haven't found anything (rifle, pistol, or shotgun) that he couldn't fix..
