Have you considered buying a rifle you like & adding a custom stock for it ?

I've picked up a couple of dandy blued steel/walnut items on this forum's classifieds. Go for the ads that have photos. The beauty of wood stocks is that if you don't like the finish you can always redo it, though this requires study of finishes and care in prepping the wood (no harsh sanding).

Don't forget about Sako. Sexy! If you can find one. I'm also a fan of wood over composite. I second the Browning A-Bolt Gold Medallion too, I have one that is very pretty.
