    357 Ruger blackhawk 3 digit S/N, nickle

Question for the MGO crew. What's a nickel 1956, 3 digit serial # Ruger Blackhawk range of value? Good condition, some chrome peeling on cylinder, otherwise very nice. Also, says 357, would it be 357 magnum as well, just not marked due to age of pistol?

There were no factory chromed Blackhawks made in 1956. Very few were made in mid to late 60's for Ruger displays. Most are known and in collections. A call to Ruger can confirm your serial numbers description, when it left the factory.
An aftermarket plated Blackhawk, with peeling chrome would have no collectors value.
And yes, the .357Cal. marking, means .357 Magnum.
