With orange tip, there are both 173 gr interim match round and a 149 gr tracer round. Both manufactured by Lake City and both 7.62x51 NATO

If you fire one down range, does it light up about 50yrds out?

Pull the bullet, then look at the back of the bullet. If it is a tracer it will be obvious that the rear of the bullet isn't solid but is only capped.
