I picked up a very nice Hi Power back when everyone was panic selling guns to buy AR's, trying to get in before the ban.
Mine is a '73. I've had it for years, and earlier this year finally removed the magazine disconnect. Tremendous improvement in trigger pull and feel!

Congratulations on your beautiful acquisition, Sir! And welcome to the Hi Power Owner Club!

I think they were one of the first handguns in the U.S. to use a high capacity magazine which made the grip thicker than a 1911 and people weren't used to it. Then there was the infamous hammer bite. Mine bit me so bad I had to get rabies shots! It was very picky about ammo too.

Either are far more ergonomic and sexier than the stock grips. The stockers are fat and blocky.

Thanks dwcopple.. I ordered the $16 grips in green / Black as a backup untill I find the wooden grips I am looking for.. I agree G10 grips for $16 can't be overlooked specially that I really hate the MKIII plastic grips on the gun now..
