If you don't think Ruger makes a decent handgun, go start your own thread instead of crapping all over an FFL's for sale thread. Seriously ... not cool. And I don't care WHERE it's posted. If you don't like where it's posted, report it. And then move on.

OK, kids; let's get 'er back on track, please.

The thread is about Ruger's new 5.7x28, and GreaseMonkey's price of $599 +tax.

The personal bickering can go to PM, please. -Mod

I have one 20 rounder inbound once they start shipping which is TBD. $599 plus tax.

I always thought the 5.7 would be a nice toy, but toys don't cost what FN was charging. I bet Ruger sells a bunch of them.

I've spent (high) five and six-figures amounts on "toys" ... or so my wife called them.

It will sell, and it will get cheaper and sell even more.

It will be $500, $475 selling a bunch of units.

I mean not top 5 seller in the industry, but this is something people wanted but not FNH price.

This is a deal to those people.

You misunderstood. I've spent $5000+ on a bicycle, but it had a purpose--century rides. I've spent thousands on guns but they were for certain competitions. I'd have absolutely no real purpose for a 5.7, that's why I called it a toy. It's not a target, hunting or carry gun (IMO), so I'd only use it for fun.

I'm excited for it, but I'd be even more excited if it didn't have a flappy trigger uvula.
