    Colt brings back the Python

    Return of a Python model.

Video claims still uses leaf spring, but new action with fewer parts. No discussion on the forcing cone. I guess we'll have to wait and see the reviews compared to an original.

That's great to see. A $1499 MSRP, but I wonder what the actual price will end up being.

There’s nothing wrong with having options and the price seems reasonable compared to an original but for me for certain classics Pythons, pre 64 model 70’s older Smiths ect; a big part of the appeal is the bygone era and just how state of the art or iconic they were in their own time. That’s all lost with reproductions and if I just want a nice shooter I can buy a Ruger.

Speaking of options...I hope they offer it in blue.

Man Colt is making a Python. HK is making an MP5. End of the world Iiscoming. All those folks banking their Pythons and HK 94 are gonna see the floor drop out of them.

    Respectfully disagree.

The value of a '63 split window Corvette isn't affected by the release of the 2002 C8 mid-engine version.

Personally, I think the new production will have the opposite affect on the older revolvers.

I rarely buy a new gun but since I can't afford a used Python I might consider this, I would hope the blue version cost less, we'll see.
