    I took the opposite approach. Mine are piled UNDER the bed.

    For soft cases: On underside of basement staircasen I put 4 cup hooks. Takes about 5 steps before cases touch floor.
    Hardcases are stood uprightness between a couple of freestanding metal shelving units in gunshop...
