Question CP-33 VS Ruger Mark IV Lite

In about half a year I can get my first firearms license for .22lr and am planning on buying a pistol for competition.

I can't choose between the Ruger MK IV Lite and the Kelltec CP-33.

What are your thoughts on this for competition?

    Here are mine:

    Ruger:
Looks sexy (especially supressed), makes you more happy than a beautifull lady.
    Good reputation and reliable.
A lot of after market products.
    Quick takedown, easy maintenance.
    Relatively small, easy to maneuvre.
Single stacked magazine 10+1, so makes sure you have enough magazines.

    CP-33:
Looks tactical, lefties and fudds will scour away at the sight of it.
Knowing kelltec first generation may have some oddballs and thus some quality control issues, loose screws etc.
Attachments for slings and even a stock (**** you government).
    Quick takedown, easy maintenance.
Quad stacked magazine 33+1, meaning it's also heavy.
    Factory trigger is quite good.

What are your thoughts between the two?

If it is for competition, the Ruger beats the Kel tec in every category. Also the large aftermarket support for the Ruger helps because anyone who has shot competitions for awhile know that once you get serious, your pistol won’t stay stock for long.

FYI: Cant use silencers in most competitions, shot timers won't pick it up.

Silencers are illegal where I live, so no worries

Ruger for sure. Depending on what competition you're shooting, you wouldn't be able to run 33 round magazines anyway.

I wouldn't get the Lite version for accuracy/competition stuff. The regular mkIV weight will help steady the end of the barrel better and allow better follow up shots/accuracy. I have the Lite version and it does float a bit. I'm a former 25yd bullseye shooter, so accuracy is my thing.

As with just about everything Kel Tec makes, they’re more fun than serious options for serious use. And this coming from someone who owns a variety of their products.
