Title is misleading-this proposed law (House Bill 5479) has only passed the State House thus far-it has not passed the Senate or been signed into law by the Governor... if she would sign. Seems like the Dems are in opposition to it, Wretched Gretchen will probably side with them.

Interesting article. For me, it brings up a couple of points. One, these buybacks do potentially use, and therefore waste, our tax dollars. Second, and this may have been brought up before, these buyback sales are not private face-to-face sales with the buyer possessing a CPL; shouldn't the buyer, i.e., the representative for the local unit of government, have an LTP, or perhaps the buyback should utilize an FFL?

Perhaps someone a bit wiser than me can respond.

You can't expect the government to follow the same rules you and I have to

Exactly, do they (the PD) have a license or process evidence guns in their possession as they should? Are those in their armory and issued to office’s obtained and logged and tracked like a civilian or FFL would be required to do? I have my doubts.
