Yeah, I was not prohibited from purchasing either of those pistols, passed the background check, etc...

And yes, Wayne LaPierre's NICS check is what caused it. Otherwise, it's cash and carry. It's a NICS fail, because it didnt stop anyone except a law abiding citizen with nothing on his record from purchasing a firearm.

AR15 lower can easily be built into pistols. You must be 21 to buy a pistol from an FFL, it's federal law.

He CAN buy a complete built rifle from an FFL, no problem.

Don't ask me, ask the feds, I don't make the laws.

Williams is usually pretty good, they ACTUALLY told you to come back the next day and buy it for him with his money? Yikes...surprising. You may want to bring it up with management, that salesperson shouldn't be selling firearms and recommending their customers commit felonies.
    Canadian Import.

The reason someone 18-20 years of age can NOT buy an AR15 stripped lower from an FFL even though they can buy a complete AR15 rifle from an FFL isn't because the stripped lower "can be made into a pistol".

It's because the stripped lower IS NOT a rifle or shotgun ...
