    Socialist Rifle Association

Anyone see this groups popping up yet? I'm starting to see them more and more on social media. For the life of me I can't understand their position, that is unless they're completely ignorant to what socialism really is.

I suspect what their actual positions (and I'm just guessing because I've never seen any of these groups) fall in line with are a group of people who like guns but tend to agree with social and economic policies typically associated with socialist platforms, e.g. government run healthcare, heavily subsidized/government funded education, redistribution of wealth, etc...similar to the Liberal Gun Owners group.

Well they think France, Germany, and their beloved Nordic and Scandinavian countries are socialist. Even worse, they think things got really good when they switched to socialism. Basically socialism is an economic driver that improves everything for almost everyone except a couple billionaires.

They will not accept that those countries are not socialist.

They think fire engines are socialist. Cops are socialist.

I would say this is easy 40 percent of people on the left, maybe upper 70s with younger voters.

    Vomit...gun rights are for everyone.

The Socialist Rifle Association is an educational organization dedicated to providing the working class with the information they need to be effectively armed for self and community defense. This includes all manner of community defense, from the right of the working class to possess firearms to the ability to be well versed in the fields of medicine, disaster relief, logistics, agriculture, and survival skills. Our goal is to provide an alternate to the mainstream, toxic, right-wing, and non-inclusive gun culture that has dominated the firearms community for decades. We seek to provide a safe, inclusive, and left-leaning platform for talking about gun rights and self defense, free from racist and reactionary prejudices, while providing a platform for the working class to obtain the skills necessary for all aspects of community defense.

Our members produce quality manuals and guides for teaching firearms safety, marksmanship, history, and mechanics; as well as unarmed self defense, emergency medical care, disaster relief, and hunting. Our local chapters will provide in-person training and workshops, using individual members' skills to help address the needs of their community. We also encourage members to pursue certification and outside training in EMT and disaster relief, so they can provide critical services to their community in bad times.

If you are any of the following: working class, progressive, anarchist, socialist, communist, eco-warrior, animal liberator, anti-fascist, anti-racist, anti-capitalist, PoC, LGBTQ+, or anyone else who is interested in learning about firearms and modern self defense -- YOU are invited to join the Socialist Rifle Association today!

As long as they just form their own little communes I'm all for it, the same way a lot of far right folks want to start their own little private ethno-states by buying out large tracts of land and living off it together. The inclusivity part of their manifesto sounds good on paper but I doubt they'd like me since I'm more of an Objectivist than anything else politically.

they would just say you're not really lgbtq+ because you don't align with the values they say a person of that group should have. then they'd let loose the slurs and kick you out of the club.
"oh, can't you get kicked out of the club for that?" is one of my favorite discussion points.

Oh believe me, I know. I often joke that I could go to something like Unite the Right and have people on both sides trying to kill me. Usually though my bringing up my being a couple letters in the Alphabet Soup shuts down their argument since they can't just make insinuations of phallic envy and assertions of my being a "Cishet white male!"

Fist thing I thought of leftest training to enforce the commie policies should they ever get in power (Bernie, Pocahontas, ect.)

Do you recall the civilian police force Obama talked about?
Just because something is legal to do doesn't mean it is the smart thing to do.
