    Weapons; concealed; weapon-free zones; exclude places of worship. Amends sec. 5o of 1927 PA 372 (MCL 28.425o).

    Very simply, this bill would remove the following language from 28.425o (areas where concealed carry is prohibited):

    Any property or facility owned or operated by a church, synagogue, mosque, temple, or other place of worship, unless the presiding official or officials of the church, synagogue, mosque, temple, or other place of worship permit the carrying of concealed pistol on that property or facility.

    It is a good start, if we can get it to go anywhere.

    The churches can still ask people not to if they wish.

    I like it. I am sure that some will ban carry, but it takes the burden off of the CPL holder from having to ask permission.

    That's nothing new. I can't remember a Michigan governor that was eager to sign progun legislation.
