    FFLs Accepting from Private Sellers

A relative of mine is going to be visiting from out state, and they'll be bringing a couple shotguns to give to me (We intend to walk them into an FFL to do the transfer, rather than paying to ship them). Unfortunately I've been struggling to find an FFL that accepts transfers from private sellers out of state. I'm in the downriver area, any suggestions for reasonably close FFLs that accept transfers from out of state private sellers?

Huron Valley did transfer for my nephew to his father. Nephew brought pistol with him from Texas. Not closest for you but an option.

I know Lake Orion is not down river but we would be willing to do it.

I'm a bit far from downriver, but would do it as well.

    Pretty sure long guns are
    NOT registered in this State.
    Why the FFL?

    Why the FFL?
Because FEDERAL LAW requires that ALL interstate transactions of firearms are to be completed through an FFL. The fact that long guns are not registered under Michigan law has no bearing on the subject.

Are you trying to imply that they could just do it and probably have no issues?
We don't do that on this Forum. We obey the laws as written, and don't condone trying to circumvent them.

I was going to disagree. But then I saw that you said LAWS, not AUP ...
