    All you need is a new hammer. The one from Cylinder & Slide is excellent.

    The welded beaver tail is way too much money and reduces the value of the gun.

    A BHP is my go to home defense pistol... and I know that gun/model well.

    I don't know of anyone selling a beavertail for the Hi Power. I was thinking of grabbing a couple for a 1911 and modifying them, or having a friend 3D print a couple for me... I can draw it up in Solidworks or CATIA, he can print them at his shop.

    I've never shot a kareen hipower, to comment on the shape of it's frame. I have seen write upd where someone heated up the beaver tail and bent it to a more common angle.

    You should start with an Israeli kareen as the basis for new model hi power.
