Anyone wanna walk me thru NFA items? SBR and can

I've had an itch for a 9mm AR for a hot minute now and finally took the jump, I'm going to register it as a pistol for now as I had most the parts sitting around but I really wanna sbr it, how the hell do I do it, I don't want the atf to shoot my dog. If you dm me I'll give you my number, I'm not too good at remembering to check on here. Also if anybody has experience with making a can out of those solvent traps please let me know too, I'm 20 so I can't buy a new surpressor I can only make one (yes I would tax stamp that legally too)

You can't legally complete paperwork on a self assembled pistol, therefore you don't submit RI-60s.

This guide helps for the rest of your post: https://www.thetruthaboutguns.com/nf...e-an-nfa-item/

National Gun Trusts (company I used to draft up my trust documents when I was making an SBR) has a very thorough Reddit post here: https://www.reddit.com/r/NFA/comment...e_for_the_atf/ that goes in detail about how to fill out the eForm 1 for making/registering a firearm. It was quite helpful for me.

    Are you replying to me?

You can SBR a pistol AFAIK. I'm saying you don't submit RI-60s on self assembled pistols.

If they do, they are in violation of State law. They are to use MSP forms ONLY.

Question? Don't you have to be 21+ to do any of the NFA things?

Not if he self-manufactures. It's 21+ for buying from a dealer, and that's came from the GCA not NFA. Nothing age related is specified in the NFA.

    Well, learned something.

It just goes to further demonstrate just how convoluted the laws are.
