Hello, Mike here.
Not much to say other than I am a lifelong farmer in the Thumb, married and on the downhill side of 50. I have an interest in learning some gunsmithing and accuracy improvements mainly in semi autos. I have some small metalworking equipment including a metal shaper.Hoping to learn all that I can as I am new to metalworking. I am a pretty good mechanic and like anything mechanical and especially old.

Born and raised in the Thumb myself.
Some people may agree with me, and some may say its insignificant - not many people do it I guess. Scope lapping (kit) is a relatively inexpensive investment in the pursuit of accuracy.
You do not have to take my word for it. Weaver: "Lapping improves scope and ring surface contact for improved gripping power and accuracy."
